Read on to learn more about Lindsay.
What drew you to accounting? How did you end up at LDB?
My academic achievements at school led me into accounting and later into financial planning and superannuation. I eventually became a partner in various suburban firms and also expanded my business interests into the Bellarine Peninsula.
At LDB, I found a group of like-minded people with whom to continue my journey.
What do you love about your job?
I enjoy the interaction with people and being their trusted adviser, able to help them with their financial endeavours in business, superannuation or investment.
What’s your best financial planning advice?
My creed is straightforward: build a plan and respect it. Be involved in your own financial life. Don’t invest in over-priced assets. Truly understand your risk tolerance. Truly understand your risk capacity. Seek as much support as you need. Protect your assets and your family. Make your wishes and expectations clear to those who follow after you.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of LDB?
I like going down to the coast, assisting my wife in the garden and chasing the grandkids around.
What is your favourite film?
The Right Stuff, which is a film adaption of Tom Wolfe’s book on America’s space program.
Where was your favourite holiday?
My favourite holiday was to Cornwall, UK where we sampled Rick Stein’s famous restaurants among other delights. It’s a nice place; the whole south-western region of England is gorgeous.
