LDB Group is proud to announce that is has partnered with Connected Communities Melbourne to create positive impacts on communities in Melbourne.

Connected Communities Melbourne is a not-for-profit organisation that awards grants to deserving community organisations across a range of categories including youth, community projects, disability, events, community safety, arts and culture, community sponsorships, environment, health and wellbeing, and sport.

The grants that are approved and funded are decided by an independent board of directors.

Funding for the grants are derived from a number of sources including an agreement between Connected Communities Melbourne and the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, as well as program partners, supporting sponsors and individual philanthropists.

Connected Communities is also committed to leveraging support from all levels of government.

How does the agreement with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank work?

When a customer buys products and services from any of the 28 participating bank branches, and their account is linked to Connected Communities Melbourne as their community beneficiary, Connected Communities Melbourne receives a commission payment from the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.

The commission payments are then used to fund the grants awarded to community groups or projects.

How is LDB involved in supporting Connected Communities Melbourne?

As a supporting sponsor of Connected Communities Melbourne, LDB contributes financially to community strengthening activities.

The relationship also means LDB is encouraged to promote Connected Communities Melbourne to their staff, customers and the general public to raise the profile of the not-for-profit organisation.

LDB Principal Daniel Dubois has joined the board of Connected Communities Melbourne.

“We look forward to a productive association making a difference to Melbourne’s community,” said Mr Dubois.

“This is a great opportunity to support a more connected Melbourne community, as Connected Communities Melbourne allows for flexible funding of a broad range of grassroots initiatives.”
